About Contingent Fees
If your case is handled on a contingent-fee basis, fees and litigation expenses are handled as follows:
- No fees or litigation expenses are charged to our clients unless Slack & Davis obtains recovery on their behalf
- The firm’s legal fees are computed as a percentage of the total recovery obtained
- If no recovery is obtained, costs such as previous medical expenses remain the responsibility of the client
Unless other arrangements are made between you and your attorney, plaintiff’s personal injury claims are handled on contingent-fee basis.
Most business litigation cases will be handled on an hourly fee basis, however, selected business litigation may be handled on contingent-fee basis. Please ask your attorney if your case qualifies for the contingent-fee structure.
